His Majesty King Mohamed VI of Morocco

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, is the 23rd monarch in the Alaouite dynasty, a noble lineage that traces its roots back to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through Moulay Idriss I, the founder of the first Moroccan state in the 8th century. This remarkable continuity reflects the deep historical and spiritual foundations of the Moroccan monarchy.

Since ascending to the throne in 1999 as the successor to his late father, His Majesty King Hassan II, King Mohammed VI has served as a symbol of unity, progress, and stability for the Kingdom of Morocco. With wisdom and compassion, he has led the nation into a new era of development, modernization, and international engagement, while preserving Morocco's cultural and religious heritage.

His Majesty's reign has been marked by significant strides in infrastructure, education, renewable energy, and social development. Under his guidance, Morocco has become a model of stability and progress in the region. His leadership continues to focus on advancing human rights, empowering women and youth, and fostering economic opportunities for all Moroccans.

Internationally, King Mohammed VI is a respected figure for his efforts in promoting dialogue, peace, and cooperation—particularly across Africa, the Arab world, and the Mediterranean. He is also a staunch defender of Morocco’s territorial integrity, especially with regard to the Sahara issue, and his diplomacy continues to garner international support for Morocco’s just cause.

For Moroccans around the world, His Majesty remains a father figure and a symbol of pride. His continuous care for the Moroccan diaspora demonstrates his inclusive vision of national unity, regardless of borders.

Message of the Moroccan Ambassador in Australia

On taking up my assignments as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Australia and as non-resident Ambassador to Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu, it gives me great pleasure to personally welcome you to our Embassy website. I am honored, as first female Ambassador, to be entrusted with the important task of representing the Kingdom of Morocco in this region of the world.

I will strive to maintain and to further develop our constantly growing diplomatic relationships, explore new initiatives to foster mutually beneficial cooperation, promote our shared values and mutual understanding with countries of Oceania. My team and I are devoted to developing our partnership and new agreements across numerous areas of mutual interest.

Through this platform, I hope to shed light on the unique potentialities of Morocco as a crossroad of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Commercial diplomacy is another facet of our mission to establishing and facilitating business contacts. Furthermore, people-to-people exchanges have become a very important pillar of our bilateral relations covering trade, tourism, culture, academia, agri-business, renewable energy, and vocational training.
As a regional hub, the Embassy is a service center for the Moroccan community providing the best possible consular assistance to our diaspora under my jurisdiction. I look forward to meeting my compatriots, and it will be my privilege to reach out to them, and together hand in hand we can give Morocco the stature it deserves in this region.

The Moroccan Association of Perth fosters cultural awareness and tourism, enhancing ties between the Moroccan community and Australia while promoting Morocco's rich heritage and national integrity. Through a wide range of cultural events, educational programs, and community initiatives, the Association serves as a vibrant hub for Moroccans living in Perth and friends of Morocco. It aims to preserve and celebrate traditional Moroccan values, cuisine, art, and language while encouraging multicultural dialogue and cooperation. By building bridges between cultures, the Association strengthens the sense of identity among Moroccan-Australians and highlights Morocco’s unique contribution to global diversity.
